How to Hack a Automatic Products Vending Machine

At the beginning of every school semester, students face a tough decision: what snacks to eat.

Fortunately, many vending machines in college buildings hold delicious treats such as Skittles and Starburst at affordable prices (75¢-$1). Unfortunately, these automatic products vending machines can be hacked – here’s how.

First, find someone who is very desperate for food. This could be anyone from a student to an office worker. If you can’t find one around your house or apartment complex and you can’t go anywhere else because it is late at night, try your local university campus. Second, tell them in a frantic tone that there is a vending machine in the building with free candy and all they have to do is walk up to it and take it. If they ask any questions such as “is there a catch?” or “do I have to pay?”, just ignore them and continue walking toward the vending machine. Third, wait for the person to get closer and tell them that you cannot activate the machine unless two people are present. Again, if they ask any questions such as “how does this work?”, keep emphasizing that they must stand next to you and do nothing but watch.

Fourth, once your victim is close enough, follow these instructions: 1) Stand between the vending machine and your victim 2) Act like you’re struggling to push something 3) Tell your victim that he should help you 4) Once he pushes on the side of the vending machine (or wherever you tell him to push), the machine should shake and drop all of its products. If

it doesn’t drop products, then switch places with your victim and have him do it.

Finally, enjoy the free candy! Just make sure not to eat all of them at once or people will begin to wonder how you got so much free candy in one day.

If you follow these steps correctly, you should be able to hack every vending machine in the building. Note: this trick works best in buildings where there are items on both floors (e.g., a restaurant on the first floor and bakery on second).

However, if you want more than just two Skittles or Starburst per visit, simply change the location of the vending machine that you’re hacking – for instance, move from one office building to another office building in the same university campus.

After all, where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Fifth, collect your spoils and walk away. If you feel bad about taking candy from a vending machine, remember that it is just as easy for the university to refill as it was for you to take out.

The only way to prevent this hack is by placing security cameras near vending machines or putting up “No Trespassing” signs around them at night. If you don’t, then expect more free treats in the future.

Remember: if you want snacks badly enough, nothing will stop you from getting them!
